On Monday, January 27th, The Propeller Club Port of Piraeus held its traditional Pitta-cutting event, at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Grande Bretagne, where they had the pleasure of welcoming 400 Members and friends of the Club. The vasilopita was blessed by His Grace, Bishop of Salona, Mr. Ignatios.
The evening’s highlights included a heartfelt recognition of the nine past Presidents, in honour of their invaluable contributions, along with a special award of recognition presented to Daisy Andrianopoulou, Head of Protocol Office, in appreciation of her remarkable 39 years of service at the American Embassy and her long and exceptional cooperation with the Club.
The students of Pierce College added a wonderful energy to the evening with their vibrant performances of traditional Greek dances.
The event held special meaning to the Club, as this year marks the 90th anniversary of our continuous presence and impact to the shipping industry and Greek society.
