The Vehicle Carrier “Neptune Phos” built in 2009 in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, was the first vessel digitally registered under Greek flag through “niologio.gov.gr”. This innovative platform facilitates the Greek flag registration process upgrading it to an user friendly, non-time consuming, digitalized process, marking a significant step towards the holistic effort of the digital transformation of the maritime industry.
Neptune Lines recognizes that digitalization and automation are crucial for enhancing competitiveness and operational efficiency. The company encourages and supports innovative thinking in everything it does and are committed to embracing initiatives that drive the future of maritime technology.
The Chair of the Board and President of the UGS, Melina Travlos, attended the unveiling of this new application last week during Posidonia and stated, "I welcome the new era of the registry, that of digitalization. I am pleased that the Greek registry has begun to operate in line with the dynamic response of Greek shipping to modern challenges. I hope to see the Greek flag waving on more of our ships soon."
